I have been working for soVision IT Since September of 2017 and prior to that from 2012 to 2015. I am the friendly-faced engineer that spends a lot of time ‘in the field’ - face to face with our clients at their offices.
As a field engineer, I can be dealing with any number of issues and requests while out at a client’s office. This requires a high degree of general IT knowledge – software, hardware, server and peripheral, a degree of flexibility and knowing how to speak to clients at any level within an organisation. Resolving issues in a fast and professional manner gives me a great sense of satisfaction and knowing that the client has had a great experience and resolution to their issue is very rewarding.
Being a father of 2 young children keeps me on my toes when outside of work, but, when I do get some spare time, I like to ‘Tinker’ with computers, usually fixing them for people. I love nature and often go bird watching. I even find time to run a couple of computer gaming and voice chat servers that have a large membership.
My favourite part about working at soVision IT is the opportunity to work with such incredible people within the company and those I support. With no two days being the same, it keeps me on my toes allowing me to adapt to any situation thrown my way. They have allowed me to focus on developing my skill set to exceed within my position and assist companies with resolving a raised issue or implementing new systems.
Having been exposed to IT infrastructures from the UK’s largest IP Firms to small town offices, I have been able to accumulate invaluable knowledge of both backend and customer facing equipment with also user interactions allowing me to provide support best fit for any company.
In my free time I like listetning to music, watching movies and cooking.
I have been with soVision IT for over 10 years where I have handled multiple account management projects, while working with internal teams to offer our customers the best possible experience. I have been listening to my clients' needs for the past 10 years and have helped them figure out ways to achieve their objectives.
As an account manager, I liaise between networks and my accounts, but I also share my expertise by making them aware of other services and products.
I am a family man and in my free time, I really enjoy cooking, especially French dishes as having grown up in France

I have studied IT since 2014 and started working at soVision IT in 2017 and have since then completed an IT engineer apprenticeship and I am now a member of the support team on the helpdesk.
My job role includes logging and resolving customer tickets via our ticketing system and email and phone, proactively going through and fixing the alerts in our monitoring platform, monitoring customer backups and also setting up new customer equipment. I enjoy taking computers apart\rebuilding them, keeping up to date with the latest hardware and tech and also visiting and working on the customers' sites.
My interests and hobbies outside of work include football, cars and other sports such as Formula 1 and Snooker.
At soVision IT, I love the variety of working with our different customers both large and small. It’s always rewarding to solve a problem for someone.
I studied Chemistry at The University of Manchester before working at the Met Office. Science then continued as an interest rather than a career as I worked purely as a programmer in the private sector.
I love the adventure of travel and I’m looking forward to exploring the world with my young daughter. I enjoy running, hiking, and have recently got into yoga.
What I love about working at soVision IT are the people, and the connections that I have made during my time here. The world of technology is ever changing, which creates a new learning opportunity every day. Beyond the technical knowledge I have gained, I have also learned that communication and collaboration are essential to providing IT as a service.
My role as a Professional Services Engineer requires a high level of technical ability, but also the ability to be personal and create relationships with customers. Every project I have worked on, from large enterprise customers to small local businesses, I have approached with the same principles. In this industry you will get back exactly what you put in.
The amount of care and planning that goes into any IT project will determine the level of success it has. I have learned that sometimes mistakes happen, and your execution will fail, and although failure can be difficult, it creates another opportunity to learn. Growing up in the 90’s and 2000’s has allowed me to learn about computers early on. I have always been passionate about technology, which led me to seek a career in the IT world. Whether at work or home, I am sat at a desk on a computer.
Learning and understanding innovative technology has always been my passion. Information technology requires constant upskilling as it's such a fast paced industry. If you're not moving forwards you’re moving backwards.
At the age of six, I received my first computer a ZX Spectrum in 1982. Since then I have been fascinated with technology. Being the son of an engineer, I had access to Personal Computers as they were then called, starting with MS-DOS - the precursor to the operating systems we use today. Technology has changed massively since I first hit enter on a keyboard.
Computing power has doubled every two years in line with Moore's law. We now use computing power in every facet of day to day life. Yet, in my downtime you’ll find me reading a book, not an e-reader in sight. Although downtime is hard to find with a large family, I still find time to watch the pinnacle of motorsport - Formula 1. At home, the kids use technology all the time as it's second nature to them and they expect things to just work. I’m sure it won't be long until they are teaching me how to simplify everyday life.
Technology empowers me in every facet of my life.
What I love about working at soVision IT is that every day is different. As the Professional Services Manager, I am the technical lead with soVision IT, heading up a team of Professional Services engineers that enable our customers to do more with their IT. I get to work with various technologies and people, planning, designing and implementing a wide range of solutions from email migrations to disaster recovery.
I am driven by success and the reward this brings. Each project brings its own unique set of challenges, but we succeed and fail as a team.
Outside of work, I have a young family which take up my spare time, but as they get older they are beginning to share my passion for computing as they are surrounded by Information Technology in their everyday life. Being surrounded by platforms that work, enable our customers to do more and this thinking is at the centre of every solution we design.
I am a new Digital Marketing Apprentice at soVision IT, within this role I will be working alongside Alexandra and helping to develop and manage digital marketing campaigns, manage websites, and optimize content for the website through social networking channels such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
I have always been interested in Business studies and I knew after I had completed my A-levels that this was the correct pathway for me. When I am not working, I attend a cheerleading club called Bath All Starz. I have been doing this for many years now and have gone to various locations around the UK to compete and bring home trophies/ medals. As well as this I also have a part time job at Marks and Spencer Café. I have thoroughly enjoyed this job for many years working alongside my colleagues to help deliver exceptional service to the customers.
I consider myself to be very hardworking which is why I am excited to broaden my knowledge and I am confident that soVision IT is the best place for me to be able to reach my goals and to start a new career.
I started working in Finance straight after I finished College, where I worked for 2 different Accountancy Practices to gain my Accounting Qualification. Working in Accountancy Practice gave me a vast range of clients to work with, on a daily basis, from a soggy bag of receipts from the local window cleaner, that needed turning into a set of accounts, to dealing with attending year-end Audits and Stocktakes at Companies ranging from Manufacturing Companies to Car Dealerships spread over a number of sites.
It was 20 years ago that I decided I wanted to work solely for 1 Company as their Finance Manager, to settle into a role and add value to a Company. I worked for a Financial Services company in Bath for 11 years, building the Finance team from scratch in a new location. Redundancies, Acquisitions and Mergers have allowed me to work in other Financial Services Companies and IT Providers over the last decade, as Finance Manager I have now been at soVision IT ltd for Two and a half years, Managing the Finance Function.
I love working for the soVision IT ‘family’. There is a very friendly and happy atmosphere in the offices every day. At the end of each busy day – I go home to my husband and 2 children and Dog. Life outside of work is busy, including dog walking every day, but I do find time to practice Pilates and have some me-time.
I have 30+ years of software development and technical leadership experience, 20 years at British Aerospace (BAe, now BAE SYSTEMS) working for Concorde Support, the US Airforce (USAF) and Airbus, including 12 years working for CSC Computers Sciences (outsourced from BAe).
This includes 18 years in team leadership, project management and technical leadership roles. 6 years of experience as an independent software development contractor – clients included Airbus, BAE SYSTEMS, and various engineering, financial and manufacturing companies both locally and in Spain and France. I have been employed by soVision IT for 8+ years.
I have been with the company since the formation of soVision IT and in total my links to the company have been 8 years - firstly in the sales department as an administrator and now in accounts.
Working predominately from the Midsomer Norton Office supporting the Finance Manager. My list of duties include keeping organised records through our CRM system and producing CRM reports, invoicing and processing invoice data, monitoring customer accounts and also supplier accounts.
I spend my free time with my family, but when I can I fallow my other passion: baking.
I joined soVision in October 2020, and since arriving here, I have found it a great place to work, with a really enjoyable camaraderie.
When I joined soVision IT, I set my stall out to improve our customer service and communication within the Support Team. With certain methods and tweaks, I believe we now offer a friendly, but professional service to our customers, which is reflected with our fantastic Net Promoter Score and customer feedback. It is also vital that I encourage our support team to work smarter, not harder, and with the help of our Technical Director, Justin, we now have some great systems in house to help us achieve this.
Outside of work, I have a wife and two young children who are six and four, which takes up most of my time. Other interests, I love my football – unfortunately a big Bristol Rovers fan – this less said about this the better at the moment, love a bit of DIY, and enjoy meeting up with friends socially.
I am originally from the Philippines, and I am proud to be Filipino. Working in the United Kingdom is a new challenge for me, but I look forward to challenges as it allows me to discover new knowledge. I have over 5 years of experience working in the IT industry, working with private and public sectors. I aim to give excellent service and customer satisfaction to my clients. The IT industry acquires its people to adopt continuous improvement in acquiring knowledge for growing technology and personal development. This is my core philosophy.
Being a business development manager at soVision IT, I am responsible for helping to find new opportunities, researching leads, establishing good relationships with a potential clients and I enjoy presenting products and services to my clients. My goal is to provide the best quality service and to support their growing business.
Things about me, I love to travel and discover a different culture, food, people and historical architecture of the country. I am the kind of person who loves food but at the same time is health conscious. I love to do different kinds of activities to improve myself and enjoy life outside of the workspace. Part of my daily life is to explore different hobbies and activities like weightlifting, martial arts, photography, crafts, discover the best food from different cuisines. I believe that life should be a balance between working and family.
Having a technical and mechanical mindset, a career in the IT industry was always the one for me. Offering a constant opportunity to learn, and adapt ever changing solutions to problems, the variety and unpredictable nature of the industry absolutely suited my personality to a tee. Having now worked in the IT industry for over 16 years, this is as true today as when I began working as a support engineer apprentice for a small business in Gloucestershire in 2004. Whilst my role within soVision IT is a far cry from where my career started, and the challenges have gone from resolving faults for users to finding holistic solutions for businesses, the joy of the challenge and the constantly changing technology remains. Whilst spare time is a rare commodity with a family, (too) much of it is spent with another love, the four wheeled kind. Ever problematic, cars and engines are an area where I have an opportunity to exercise a totally different set of skills to those required in the office but use the same problem-solving mentality. When looking for some time to relax, coarse fishing or walking are a great opportunity to hit refresh!
I am a software developer apprentice, working closely alongside Mark Harris. My current role within soVision IT is to enhance my learning of coding, applications that we use and maintain assignments for college, when work is completed by our Software development team, I test our products to make sure these applications work appropriately.
Learning something new and being involved with projects is my favourite part of the job as it is helping the team, being a team player is important to me!
Furthermore, I am a graduate in Sports Rehabilitation, and I do also like to keep my knowledge up about sports injuries and rehabilitation in my spare time when I am not coding, as I am fascinated how the human body functions. Finally, I am an outgoing and highly motivated guy to help the team whenever possible. I love to do football and badminton in my spare time as my main two hobbies, which is a great stress reliver!
After 31 years in the Engineer Branch of the RAF, he has worked with Brian Carpenter since 1991 first in a partnership which became Line International Ltd, which acquired soVision as a wholly-owned subsidiary when we needed software expertise to maintain our risk management software.
The risk business and company name were sold in 2005, and the company became Line Business Services Ltd and retained soVision Ltd. Colin was Operations Director in Line International, and remains in that role in Line Business Services Ltd. In 2021, as a significant shareholder in soVision IT Ltd, he was appointed to the board as Strategy and Planning Director, and provides research-based information to the Board and editorial support as required for internal Company documents and processes.
In my free time, I enjoy walking, gardening, reading and Apple technology.
I started working for soVision IT in October 2019. After graduating as an Electrical Engineer with a passion for computers and software, I decided to pursue a career in Software Engineering.
I am a software engineer with experience working in a fast-paced digital marketing agency environment, proficient in ASP.NET OOP and .NET Core. I am currently self-teaching myself Azure, AI and Blockchain technology.
I enjoy programming because I like solving problems, relishing opportunities to learn and I get a kick out of the result. My research interest includes cloud computing and blockchain.
I have been supporting organisations to increase sales through the holistic and strategic use of marketing since 2011 and since 2016 I have happily joined the soVision IT family on their mission to drive growth for our clients. This experience built on the knowledge I have acquired during my BA in PR and Communications, and my MA in Advertising has been crucial in developing successful marketing strategies for businesses from various industries.
I love working with our clients closely in understanding their business needs, knowing their target audience and together finding the best way forward to achieve growth. I like seeing this process as taking our customers on a new journey and holding their hands every step of the way in making sure their business succeeds.
As I am such a growth driven person, in my spare time, you’d find me doing a training on personal development, reading a book on copywriting or psychology, walking in nature or taking piano lessons.
I love interacting with people and, where I can, I am always willing to help people achieve their goals. I am a firm believer in the qualities of integrity and motivation. At soVision IT, we really do strive to provide the best value for money in all that we do for our customers.
As MD, I’m responsible for the strategic direction, culture and ultimate growth of the Company. I’m proud of our team. Experienced and with so much talent and a depth of knowledge, they still surprise me every day.
I’ve had such an interesting career, from being a recognised European expert in Project Management, to being the Managing Director of a Major Division of a global Aerospace Company and Director of one of the UK’s largest Consultancy Operations. These roles have taught me so much about business and people.
When I am not working, I love my garden and I am an animal lover who loves to be close to nature. My wife calls me Dr Doolittle as I talk to all animals and birds that frequent my garden or I meet in the wild. I love cooking and prepare most of the family’s meals. I must confess I am more experimental than my wife who is also an excellent cook.
